Two things.
When I got ink pens I realized that thing called 'line depth' was pretty good to have. Heehee. Slow learner, me. I usually have to guess what should be thicker, because I noticed a paradox. Thicker lines indicate a darker area, in shadow, which means that they should be used in backgrounds, away from the central figure, which is usually the brightest-lit area of a piece of art. Buuuuut darker, thicker lines draw the eye, which means they SHOULD be used on central figures, because that's what you want people to notice.
Eeeeeeh. What?
Another thing. Commission prices! Not a personal worry... I wish I could sell commissions, but I'm not good/well-known enough.

One day soon, I hope. Anyway, even really amazingly talented and creative artists, like *Saimain and *TheUmbrella sell commissions for cheap. Well, not cheap, but when you consider that hours of work go into the piece, they must be earning just above minimum wage. Artists are highly skilled people and they do work most people couldn't even with equivalent training/practice- they should be earning more, just like someone with a PhD earns more than someone with a bachelor's. This is weird. I suppose the master artists (like the aforementioned two) must have streamlined and perfected their work, so they can produce their amazingness much faster than someone like me who has to do the whole thing about three times over, because of rookie mistakes. I mean, my latest work- Luxury- probably took a total of eight hours, which is tragically long, and I would feel like I was cheating someone if I sold it for $30, which is well under minimum wage.
Where am I going with this?
Artists have it tough, I guess. Really. Freaking. Tough. Hang in there, guys. You make the world (and Internet) a better place, butcha didn't need me to tell you that.
